The Willis band and Guard percussionists are made up of three major components: Band (marching or wind band responsibilities), percussion ensembles, and Willis Indoor Percussion. Students are required to participate in all components of the program. It is our goal to provide a “studio” experience for our students where they balance music literacy and team building, while also being exposed to diverse musical experiences.
These students are regularly the face of the program to the community at large, as they are asked to perform at many community events and school activities.
Percussion students are expected to be proactive, professional, present, and positive in every rehearsal, creating a process-driven atmosphere.
Willis Percussion is under the direction of Mr. Jarrett Jones.
Willis Percussion is also proudly supported by SABIAN and Salyers Percussion. The companies allow our students to play on the finest equipment each year and have experiences they would not have otherwise.
